What people say about my work...

To me, a painting is just a painting, just a few colors splashed on a canvas, if I can't read what is staring back at me. It must speak to my inner self, my emotions. 

The first time I laid my eyes on this painting of Annalie (titled: Joy), I noticed the little embryo embraced by the rose petals. I saw life, hope, and joy! The vibrant pink petals are those of a woman knowing that life is happening inside her. Vibrant but also fragile! She treasures the little pearl of hope. And with hope there is joy! To me, this painting reflects joy from within.
